Garage Door Painting Start to Finish
We were contracted by a client who was considering investing in a new garage door as he thought the door was unsalvagable and required replacing. The Metal garage door was over 35 years old and had previously been hand-painted with a traditional paintbrush and roller.
How did we refurbish the garage door?
Step One - We thoroughly cleaned the door, and surrounding structure removing all flaky paint, dirt and debris. Once the garage door was stripped back to the original metal, we masked the areas around the door to prevent overspray.
Step Two - We applied the appropriate primer to the metal surface; in this case, it was a high quality etch primer.
Step Three - We applied BarCoat, which is perfect for many types of restoration work and prevents any previous paint residue's bleeding into the new topcoat.
Step Four - We spray painted the garage door with the customers choice of colour as the topcoat, in this case, RAL 7021 Black Grey.
Step Five - We removed all of the masking material and presented the work to the customer.
You may note a few dents on the garage door's top centre panel; the customer did not request their removal, only a professional paint finish. These dents can easily be removed if required, resulting in an almost new, refurbished garage door.
One Stop Services exceeded our expectations by bringing our garage doors, and uPVC windows back to life recommended.
Garage Door Refurbishment is rated 5 out of 5 based on customer reviews.
